About Dr. Ramzy Baroud
Dr. Ramzy Baroud is a US-Palestinian journalist, media consultant, author, and internationally syndicated columnist. He is the Editor of Palestine Chronicle (–present), former Managing Editor of the London-based Middle East Eye, former Editor-in-Chief of The Brunei Times, and former Deputy Managing Editor of Al Jazeera Online.
Baroud taught mass communication at Curtin University of Technology, Malaysia Campus. He also served as the head of English’s Research and Studies department.
Baroud is the author of six books and a contributor to many others. His latest volume, co-edited with Ilan Pappé, is Our Vision for Liberation: Engaged Palestinian Leaders and Intellectuals Speak Out. His books have been translated into multiple languages, including French, Italian, Turkish, Arabic, Korean, and Malayalam, among others.
Baroud holds a Ph.D. in Palestine Studies from the University of Exeter (). He was a Non-Resident Scholar at the Orfalea Center for Global and International Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara (–17). He holds a Doctorate of Philosophy in Palestine Studies from the European Centre for Palestinian Studies at the University of Exeter, UK.
