”En tuntenut koko lapsuuteni tai nuoruuteni aikana ketään, joka olisi käynyt teatterissa. Lapsia ei viety katsomaan näytöksiä, koska se ei ollut aikuistenkaan ajanviettotapa. Teatteri oli asia, josta kukaan ei puhunut. Se ei vain kuulunut millään tavalla elämäämme maaseudulla.
Ehkä siksi minulla kesti niin kauan löytää oma tieni, intohimoni – ja samalla suuntani elämässä.
Kristiina Halttu etsi pitkään omaa tietään, kunnes hän löysi intohimonsa näyttelemiseen. Nuorena hän tiesi vain, että kotikylästä Kuivaniemeltä oli päästävä pois ja opiskelemaan.
Synnyin Kuivaniemellä sijaitsevalle Kurkelan maatilalle vanhempieni ensimmäiseksi lapseksi. Maatilalle, jonka savusaunassa isäni syntyi ja jonka hän peri. Nykyisin ’Kuivis’ on liitetty Iin kuntaan.

Gilmore Girls is my favorite TV series ever. Because I’m deeply entrenched in the Gilmore Girls corner of social media, I’ve noticed that many fans actually hate Rory Gilmore - the main character of the show (ironic, right?).
