Early Life
Phil Anselmo was born on June 30, , in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. He had a younger brother named Jerry and a stepsister named Rebecca Coclaugh. During his youth, Phil Anselmo developed a passion for music and horror movies. By the age of fourteen, he was already playing in a local rock band called Samhain. He also worked as a deckhand on various fishing boats. However, his love for music eventually overshadowed all other interests.
Career
In the early s, Phil Anselmo played in bands such as Razor White and Judas Priest, gaining experience in touring.
