EKEROT, Bengt, šved. filmski i kazališni glumac i redatelj (Stockholm, 8. II ). Glumu učio na školi pri Kraljevskome dramskom kazalištu u Stockholmu. Karijeru glumca i redatelja započeo je u stockholmskome Novom kazalištu; poslije II svj. rata odlazi u Malmö, a vraća se u Stockholm. I glum. i red. radom osobito se isticao u shakespearijanskom repertoaru. Na filmu od (Kockanje životom A. Sjöberga). Najčešće je igrao karakterne uloge podrugljivacâ i cinikâ; vrhunac je njegove film. karijere uloga Smrti u Sedmom pečatu () I. Bergmana. Ogledao se i u film. režiji (Vesela zabava — Det glade kalaset, ; Bez sedla — Barbacka, ; Ulaz na scenu — Sceneingång, ).

Efter studier för Willy Koblanck och Julia Håkansson blev han vid andra försöket antagen Under studietiden var han med i den uppmärksammade elevuppsättningen av Diana går på jakt på Nya Teatern Efter examen blev Nya Teatern Ekerots hem fram till Året därpå debuterade han som teaterregissör med den danska komedin På tre man hand.
